New Voices in Midlands History Conference

Celebrate over 50 years of Midland History with keynote speaker Professor Christopher Dyer on Saturday, 11 June 2022 at the University of Birmingham Main Lecture Theatre, Arts Building, Edgbaston, Birmingham, B15 2TT.

This anniversary conference is sponsored by the journal Midland History and may be of particular interest to Friends. All those researching the history of the Midlands are welcome to attend. Call for Papers: Deadline 31 March 2022

Proposals are invited from postgraduates, early career or independent scholars and heritage, museum and archive professionals researching any aspect of the history of the Midlands. This includes the counties of Bedfordshire, Derbyshire, Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Rutland, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire. Papers will be 20 minutes in length. Please supply a title and 100-word abstract to the organiser Dr Malcolm Dick M.M.Dick@bham.ac.uk and copy in editorial assistant, Justine Pick jsp582@student.bham.ac.uk
