Urban History/Regional and Local History Centre Launch Event Wednesday October 5th 2022.

Karen Donegani reports that this went very well, estimate around 60+ people attended of whom maybe 25 were Friends. The free, giveaway book stall saw a brisk trade throughout the afternoon. Lots of reunions, lots of chatter, a few very short speeches. A very positive reaction to the rooms and good overall feedback from Friends

–          Room 101 in the Attenborough Seminar Block, which houses Centre for Regional and Local History collections and a flexible-use research/seminar space, and;

–          Room 802 in the Attenborough Tower, which houses Centre for Urban History and Centre for Regional and Local History collections and study space.
