Urban History/Regional and Local History Centre Launch Event Wednesday October 5th 2022.

On behalf of The Centre for Urban History (CUH) and Centre for Regional and Local History (CRLH) Dr Angela Muir, Director of the Centre for English Local History, has extended an invitation to Friends members to attend an event on Wednesday October 5th 2022 between 3pm and 5pm to mark the completion of the new research spaces in the Attenborough building, and to launch the new Centre name for CRLH.

The event will take place between 3 and 5pm on Wednesday 5 October, and will consist of an ‘open house’ of our two new research spaces:

–          Room 101 in the Attenborough Seminar Block, which houses Centre for Regional and Local History collections and a flexible-use research/seminar space, and;

–          Room 802 in the Attenborough Tower, which houses Centre for Urban History and Centre for Regional and Local History collections and study space.

Guests are welcome to visit both spaces and peruse at their leisure.

Refreshments will be available at Attenborough 101 from 3pm, and there will be a brief welcome address and speeches between 3:30 and 4pm.

As the event will be catered, we kindly ask you to RSVP by 29 September to treasurer@englishlocalhistory.org
