LAHS History Fair 2025

The LAHS History Fair returns and will be taking place on Saturday 5th July in the grounds of Oakham Castle in Rutland (postcode LE15 6DR) and Rutland County Museum.
This will also be the opening event for the 2025 Leicestershire and Rutland Festival of Archaeology, in addition to marking 170 years since the founding of Leicestershire Archaeological and Historical Society in 1855.
LAHS are pleased to host another hugely popular and family friendly History Fair! As ever, this event will include an exciting mix of living history and re-enactments from numerous periods, talks by local experts and displays by heritage groups and societies from across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. The event will also see the official launch of the Leicestershire and Rutland Festival of Archaeology, so it is the perfect place to discover all the other activities that will be happening over July.
