Call for Papers.
This Call for Papers invites members of the Society, scholars at all career stages, as well as independent scholars and religious leaders, to join us in 2026 to reflect on the Church – better still, Churches – and Race. We invite 20-minute communications regarding any time or region of Christian history in its broadest sense, papers based on original research, some of which will be published in the resulting volume in the series Studies in Church History.
Paper Proposals.
Proposals can only be accepted if submitted on the official form which should be returned as a MS Word file attachment to the Assistant Editor at ehseditorial@gmail.com.
The final deadline for receipt is 15 April 2026.
Conference Bursaries.
The EHS offers a number of generous bursaries to allow postgraduate students to attend its Summer Conferences. Bursaries cover all the costs of attending the conference: registration, food and single accommodation at the basic rate for up to three nights. They are not normally intended to cover travel, which can often be funded in other ways.
Applications and references should be sent to Dr Joseph Hardwick (joseph.hardwick@northumbria.ac.uk) by the same deadline as that for communications: 15 April 2026.
