‘Collingham and East of the Trent: Angles-Vikings-1066’ by Jeremy Lodge.

Jeremy Lodge’s book focusses on the area between Newark-upon-Trent and Lincoln, the history of which is informed by three great route-ways; the river Trent to the west, the east-west running Fosse Way and Ermine Street, which runs north-south through Lincoln. The period covered is from the Romano-British of the early 400s AD to the invasions of 1066.
