A Nation in Turmoil: Aspects of the English Civil Wars 1642 to 1649 – October 2026.
On Saturday 31 October 2026, starting at 10:00AM at Octagon Hall, Welland Park Academy, Welland Park Road, Market Harborough the Market Harborough Historical Society will present a discussion of events of the English Civil War.
The subjects for discussion will be:
- Discovering King Charles 1st – Prof. Richard Cust.
- Turncoats and Regicides: Changing sides during the English Civil Wars – Prof. Andrew Hopper.
- Women Activists and the Challenge to Patriarchy in the English Revolution – Dr. Kate Peters.
- Treating the Wounded – Dr. Ismini Pells.
Ticket information:
- £15 per head.
- £3 per head for students 18 to 25.
Tea and coffee and refreshments will be available during the event.
