FCELH Call for New Trustees.

We are looking for people who have valuable skills, experience and ideas that they can bring to a trustee role with our charity.

Trustees play a vital role, take on important responsibilities, and work together to lead and run our charity. Charities cannot do their job without them.

We manage our charity through a committee comprising the officers and other members elected in accordance with our constitution. Our committee consists of the Chair, the Secretary and the Treasurer (who are the ‘officers’) and a minimum of two and a maximum of six additional members. These elected officers and other members of the committee are the Trustees of The Friends. Each of the trustees retires at the Annual General Meeting next after their appointment but is eligible for re-election at that Annual General Meeting. All trustees must be members of The Friends.

Committee meetings take place on a regular basis, usually every 3 months but more frequently if required. Meetings are conducted via ZOOM and trustees are not required to be physically present in Leicester.

If you need any further information about the trustee role please email our Secretary Mary Bryceland here.

If you would like to become a trustee of The Friends of the Centre for English Local History please complete the nomination form here.
